Company introduction/Development story
・Aerobie
Aerobie (Aeropress Inc.) is the manufacturer of the AeroPress, an innovative coffee press loved by many fans around the world.
Founded in 1984 by former Stanford University engineering instructor and inventor Alan Adler, the company manufactures and sells innovative sporting equipment inventions such as the Guinness World Record-holding Aerobie Pro Flying Ring.
In 2004, Alan began studying the coffee brewing process and analyzing coffee brewing equipment design to create a truly innovative device that would brew a superior cup of coffee. At a coffee industry trade show in November 2005, Aerobie debuted the groundbreaking Aeropress coffee maker.
A few years later, AeroPress sales had expanded across the United States and to over 60 countries around the world.
And the company thrived for over a decade, selling both the Aerobee sports toy with incredible flying capabilities and the AeroPress coffee maker, which brewed a deliciously smooth, rich coffee.
In 2017, we sold the assets of our AeroBee sports toy business to Swimways, Inc., a subsidiary of Spin Master, Inc., officially changed our name to AeroPress, Inc., and expanded our AeroPress product line in 2019.
