Introduction
About Traditional DEEP45 Coffee Filter
It was developed to match the unique dripper structure with a 45 degree bottom installation angle and a hexagonal shape.
The coffee filter is round and the dripper is hexagonal, ensuring a sufficient air gap between the dripper and the filter.
It does not prevent the coffee grounds from expanding.
In addition, by applying a crepe (wrinkled) finish to both sides of the paper with an exquisite height difference, speedy extraction is achieved even when using a large amount of coffee powder for multiple cups!
A deep dripper that can extract coffee with a smooth mouthfeel and clear taste, just like coffee made using a cloth drip method.
Only a dedicated filter can bring out its full potential.
About Abaca Plus DEEP45 Coffee Filter

What is the difference between this and the traditional DEEP45?
- By adjusting the paper texture, more uniform coffee extraction is possible. In addition, by slightly lowering the height of the crepes (wrinkles) on both sides of the paper but narrowing the gaps, we have succeeded in maximizing the surface area of the paper as a whole. By increasing the area where coffee powder can adhere, we have achieved speedy extraction!
- 2. Environmental friendliness as a plus As a pioneer of paper filters and a company that contributes to the SDGs, we strive to provide even more environmentally friendly products. "Abaca Plus DEEP45" is packed with this desire.
About Abaca Filters
White FSC® certified
The paper used in these coffee filters is produced from well-managed forests in accordance with FSC® standards.
Uses of Abaca
Abaca is a truly sustainable plant, with excellent carbon dioxide absorption and no harmful substances produced when its fibers are incinerated.
What is Abaca?
Abaca is a perennial plant native to the Philippines, commonly known as Manila hemp. The fibers extracted from abaca are half as fine as those from coniferous trees, but are four times stronger than wood pulp. By mixing this flexible and durable abaca pulp with paper, we have created a coffee filter with excellent liquid permeability.
CAFEC's abaca paper is dried by blowing hot air on both sides while the paper is flowing flat, so the crepe on both sides maintains a sufficient height. The exquisite height balance of the crepe on both sides not only achieves ideal water flow, but also ensures that almost all coffee powder adheres to the crepe and does not get into the coffee, allowing you to enjoy clean, unclouded coffee.
CAFEC Abaca filter papermaking process
Both sides are dried with hot air, so the crepe on both sides is maintained when the base paper is completed. This allows the paper to have a uniform grain, ensuring smooth and stable liquid permeability.
Normal paper filter papermaking process
The paper is dried under pressure on the Yankee drum. The crepe on one side is crushed and the paper is stretched to complete the base paper. Because the paper has an uneven grain, the liquid flow is not stable and clogging occurs easily.
