Our thoughts on the House Blend

This is our second blend and our first non-light roast coffee.

When talking about specialty coffee, you often hear the word clean.

So what is clean?

We believe that a clean cup is one in which the individual characteristics of the material are brought out to the fullest .

If the ingredients are roasted in a way that does not damage their various flavors, the result tends to be a light roast.

On the other hand, it is also true that in the world of coffee there are various taste standards that reflect the land and climate.

The first sentence of SCAJ's definition of specialty coffee is, "Specialty coffee is coffee that the consumer (coffee drinker) judges as delicious and is satisfied with the flavor of the coffee liquid in the cup held in his/her hand."

In Kyoto, where coffee culture has been deeply rooted since ancient times, many customers come seeking dark roasts, and we felt frustrated that we could not meet their demand.

This is coffee that many customers find delicious and satisfying.

This House Blend Dark is a reflection of our respect for the coffee culture that has developed in Kyoto and the people who love it.

Roasted weekly at our roastery in Nishijin, Kyoto.

We deliver fresh beans up to 14 days after roasting.

You can enjoy the original flavor of coffee from the first week after roasting.

If you receive it early, please let the coffee rest for a while before trying it.

Also, if you are using ground beans, we recommend drinking them within about a week of grinding them.
