Introduction

Kurasu Houjicha

Normally, Hojicha is a Japanese tea made by roasting familiar teas such as Bancha tea to enjoy their fragrant aroma. However, we use high-quality tea leaves from the first flush of tea leaves, and roast them lighter than usual, with particular attention paid to the temperature and time, so that you can enjoy the inherent aroma and flavor of the tea leaves as well.

In addition, the tea is ground into powder using the same stone mill as matcha, taking time to grind it into powder (at a pace of 40g/h), which prevents excess heat from being generated and minimizes the loss of the tea leaves' aroma and flavor.

By using a stone mill, the grains are made finer and more uniform, resulting in a smooth, fine-grained roasted green tea.

It is used in a variety of shops, including for Hojicha lattes, Japanese sweets, Western sweets, baked goods, etc. It is also an excellent ingredient when you want to add richness and aroma to your dishes.
