Customize your coffee however you like
It uses a modular system that allows you to attach and remove various bottoms. Small changes can have a big impact on the taste of your coffee.
This is a great choice for coffee lovers as it allows you to experience a variety of extractions without having to prepare multiple drippers.
This is especially recommended for those who want to try out different coffee brewing methods in a minimalist way, or for those who want to explore hand drip brewing.
Carefully crafted structure
The wall of the brewer body is a narrow type designed at 73°. It is a classic structure that Orea has offered in the V3 and V3Mk-2 so far. It has a relatively fast flow rate among flat-bottom dripper types, bringing out the bright acidity and sweetness of the coffee.
*In the manufacturer's home country, there is also a Wide type in addition to the Narrow, but please note that the release date in Japan has not yet been decided.
Replaceable bottom parts
Classic
The Orea ring has a ribbed design on the outlet. It achieves a performance and flavor profile close to the bottom of the V3Mk-2 and keeps the coffee bed flat. This is the classic type of Orea that is loved all over the world.
Taste: Compared to other bottoms, it tends to have a more substantial, full-bodied taste.
Open
It has a wide opening design. It has the same design as the Porcelain Brewer, but the V4 is made of plastic, so the flavor profile is different. This bottom concentrates the water flow in the center, giving you a different taste than other bottoms.
Taste: Good balance of acidity and sweetness, tending to have a rounded taste.
Fast
The design has many slits. The design allows air flow, which makes it less likely to clog and allows hot water to flow faster. This item allows you to try out various extraction patterns, such as grinding coffee finer and pouring more hot water.
It is also famous for being used by Martin, the winner of the 2024 World Brewers Championship, at the same tournament.
Taste: Tends to express the clean acidity and juicy texture of light roasted coffee beans.
Apex
The design is somewhere between a cone-shaped and flat-bottomed dripper. Officially, Orea recommends using a large round paper filter and a Negotiator Tool (a tool for shaping paper). We plan to sell this round paper and Negotiator Tool in the future. (We will announce it on social media once the release date is decided.) Flat-bottomed and cone-shaped paper filters can also be used, but they may slip off during extraction.
Taste: The sweetness tends to come out well and the acidity tends to be bright.
How to replace the bottom part
Grip the bottom of the brewer and twist it about 90 degrees to remove the bottom part. When installing, attach the bottom part and twist it in the opposite direction to install it, and make sure it is firmly attached. If it is not attached loosely, the part may come off during extraction.
Contents
- Brewer unit x 1
- 1 stainless steel base
- Bottom parts: 1 each (Classic, Open, Fast, Apex)
*In the manufacturer's home country, there is also a Wide type in addition to the Narrow, but please note that the release date in Japan has not yet been decided.
