Care for wood products

Wood is a natural material and as such has a tendency to dry out and warp easily. Wooden parts exposed to high heat and steam, such as lids and handles, will eventually dry out and crack if left untreated.

To prevent this, we recommend regularly applying mineral oil for wood once a month, rubbing it in with a soft cloth, and doing this more frequently if the wood feels particularly dry instead of once a month.

  • Because we use natural wood products, the color of the handle and lid will vary from one to another. We hope you enjoy the unique wooden texture of each product. Due to the nature of the products, there may be rare cases where they are scratched, but this will not affect their use.
  • We do not recommend adding walnut parts to the Stagg EKG electric kettle in the "Matte White" color, as oils from the material may adhere to the kettle and become noticeable.
  • For "Matte White", we recommend Maple.
  • Before replacing the handle or lid, ensure the kettle is empty and has cooled down.
  • Please make sure to install each part securely. If you notice any abnormalities during use after replacement, immediately stop using the product and check that each part is installed securely.
  • Any scratches or stains that occur during installation are not covered by the Stagg EKG electric kettle's product warranty. (Even if you change to a wooden handle, initial defects that do not involve the handle or lid are covered by the product warranty.)
  • We do not recommend attaching this to the Stagg Pour over kettle for direct flame, which is sold separately. Since it is intended to be used over an open flame, there is a risk of danger with wooden products such as this product. Also, the design of the lid is not designed to accommodate the wooden lid handle of this product.

I will update it to an item that you will love.

Even in its stock state, I was impressed with the grip, which was designed with weight balance in mind, but changing to a wooden grip has made me feel much more attached to it.
Since each item is unique, it would be great if I could check the grain of the wood beforehand, but the product I received had distinctive grain and I really liked it.

I wanted a lid made of the same wood because the screws would be visible after installation.

It is well made

It's expensive, but it's well made.
Since it is urethane coated, it is unlikely to deteriorate even if you wash the entire pot.
I think the reason the original plastic handle that was replaced was quite heavy was to balance the kettle when hot water was poured into it, so I wondered what was going on in that regard.

I ordered walnut.
I had asked some questions beforehand, and your detailed answers allowed me to make the purchase without hesitation.
The product arrived quickly after ordering and was well packaged.

[About the handle]
-Weight: As stated in the product introduction, the kettle feels light when you hold it after assembly is complete.
Texture: The texture is smooth and good. However, because of this, you may feel a bit slippery when holding the handle until you get used to it.
(Applying the recommended oil may solve the problem.)
-Durability: It is made of wood and is often used around water, so I think it depends on the user.
・Appearance: Since it is made of wood, there may be individual differences, but the grain and color tone will be close to the product introduction photo.

[About the lid]
・The shape is almost the same as the existing model, so the only thing that has changed is the material. It is the same material as the handle.

Installation is as simple as screwing it in, so it's easy to put on.
-For walnut, I think the look would be more unified if the screws on the handle were black.

Very cool

I had wanted it for a long time but was hesitant to buy it because it was expensive, but I was able to purchase it here for about the same price as a personal import.
Since the kettle is black, I chose walnut.
It's really cool. It matches the color of the canister I bought separately, so it looks great.
Installation can be completed in just 5 minutes.
