Filter Holder
The bottom of the dripper has three unique cone-shaped protrusions that hold the paper filter in place, allowing for a flow rate that is not available with other flatbed drippers.
Air pocket
An "air pocket" in the outer base helps air circulate, making each brew consistent and producing clean, pure coffee. 
lid
It locks in the aromas and keeps your coffee at the perfect temperature until you drink it.

Differences with the ceramic Kalita Wave dripper
One flat-bottom dripper with a similar structure to the April dripper is the Kalita Wave Dripper. The design of the Kalita dripper is said to not have enough space for air to circulate around the filter during the extraction process.
Also, although the dripper has small ribs on the bottom, they are not high enough to lift the filter and it sticks to the bottom, which can create a vacuum, which can extend the extraction time and cause over-extraction, resulting in negative flavors in your coffee.
With this in mind, the April dripper has a unique design that includes a filter holder and air pocket.
April Coffee Roasters
A roaster based in Copenhagen, Denmark. They started roasting in late 2016 and sell roasted coffee beans all over the world. They opened the April Coffee Store & Showroom in June 2020. They continue to deliver the highest quality coffee not only as a roastery but also as a cafe.
Founder Patrick Rolf was the champion of the "Danish Roasting Competition 2019". He also used April Brewer at the "World Brewers Cup 2019", where he won the highest cup score in the competition and placed second overall.

Development story
How can you make better coffee?
The way you brew good coffee depends on how the coffee is roasted. But most drippers were invented over a decade ago. With that in mind, April designed a dripper that could keep up with modern advances in coffee roasting.
It took us about three years to perfect the product, testing many different prototypes - we took that time to ensure we got something truly innovative and of the highest quality.
Final test of the dripper <br data-mce-fragment="1">As a final test, we entered a coffee set using the April dripper at the World Brewers Cup 2019 held in Boston in April 2019. At the competition, we won an impressive silver medal. We also received the highest score for coffee taste. We were convinced that product development was moving in the right direction.
Bringing the idea to life <br data-mce-fragment="1">To make the handmade prototype accessible to everyone, we collaborated with design company SERAX (a Belgium-based company that specializes in the design and manufacturing of high-end kitchen and household products).
The current April Pour-Over Brewing Kit has been completed by combining April's production know-how and coffee extraction skills with the skilled craftsmanship of SERAX, respecting the basic design concept down to the smallest detail.
